Committed to make a difference

I have created Legacy’s Outreach Services, a community nonprofit agency to support youth and young adults who need assistance navigating personal and educational challenges.  Working closely with the parents, empowering our youths to make a difference through academic success, emotional well-being, and avoiding trouble, strengthens the fabric of our communities.

Youths who are taught to be active community members require discipline, patience, organization, and the ability to build key external relationships. Understanding failures is part of skill-building experiences.  There are many stories of life challenges and triumphs. What resources or skills are used, and what steps are taken to achieve individual goals are some questions that, at times, are difficult to navigate through.

Learning to understand obstacles is an opportunity for growth. Curiosity and proactive exploration are essential, becoming an active community member requires wearing multiple hats and stepping outside layers of comfort zones.

 

Legacy’s Outreach Services' commitment is a strong belief in an idea that encourages and supports the youth to be actively engaged in their communities to reap numerous benefits. Active community involvement leads to positive outcomes for teens and young adults.  Participating in student government, clubs, sports, and organized service-learning programs promotes cognitive maturity and productive adult endeavors.
